Halloween

Today we went into town, ran some errands and went out for some yummy Mexican food at La Charreada. We saw Juan and Becca there. They're getting married in April and they were dressed as a Dr and a nurse for Halloween. When we got home, Blessing played in her car outside for awhile. Then she came inside and climbed up and down, up and down........ her mountain in the living room. This girl LOVES to climb. If we had stairs, she would probably put miles on them everyday!

Fall Crafts

Today, Blessing a I went over to Tammy's to make a craft with Gabe & Brilynn. We made mini pumpkin jars to hold candy or whatever in. The kids did a good job and had fun. It was also fun to visit with Tammy while the kids played some.
There are also some pictures in here from earlier in the week of Blessing in her pink camo and playing blocks! Enjoy!

Random Day

Today Blessing wanted to eat her snack on the table, so I let her. Not an everyday thing, but fun once in awhile. Later on she was playing. We put a croc in the alligators mouth and then pretended to have Blessing eat the Alligator while the Gator was eating a Croc. Ha! We thought it was funny. Blessing decided to do the chicken dance also later on that day!

Handyman

We went to town today and got new tires put on our van. They were in really bad shape. We also picked up a reverse osmosis water filtration system. We've been trying to decide what to do for awhile. We used to have a Pur filter system attached to our faucet, but then took that off because it leaked a bunch and the filters are pretty expensive. But the water from our well gave Blessing and I both runny stools constantly, so we've been drinking distilled water. This system is quite inexpensive compared to what they used to be and we'll be saving money because we don't have to change the filter but every 6-8 months and they are a lot less inexpensive than the other ones. We don't get new stuff very often, hense the excited email about a boring water filtration system. I was very fortunate to have my sexy handyman (who also happens to be my wonderful husband) install the system this evening so it will be ready to go for tomorrow. I will be having an open house so everyone can come taste our water and enjoy the fruits of Andy's labor. Okay--- no open house, I guess that would be going a little overboard! Can't wait for the MOMS Bible Study tomorrow! Yeah!

Fall Decor

Just thought I would show you my centerpiece that Blessing helped make. I took the placemat she made and put the leftover leaves on it and then added a candle. I think it is very pretty.
Today when Andy got home from work, we took a walk through the woods and over to the shop and back. I hope that it stays warm for a loooong time this fall because I do NOT like cold weather (I consider anything below 60 degrees to be cold and inhumane). Once again, Blessing had a ball picking up sticks, getting piggy back rides, and picking leaves from trees and such.

Activities

Today's activity was fun and fall-oriented. We collected leaves from outside and then stuck them between 2 pieces of clear contact paper to make a placemat. It didn't keep Blessings attention very long, but she did have fun sticking the leaves to the contact paper. She kept saying "leaves, leaves" and giggling. She was also talking on my phone. She loves to run and grab it when it rings and says "hello, hello". You don't actually hear her because she hasn't figured out that you need to answer the phone first, but it is still darn cute. You'll see the new set of blocks she got the in the background. You'll probably see pix of those in the future.

Bike Ride

Blessing is feeling better, so we decided to take her for a bike ride. We usually go right after supper several times a week for about 3 miles or so. We made sure she wore a hat cause of the ear infection. She had a great time getting to ride again. I think she would spend all of her time playing outside if she was able to.

Sick

Blessing was diagnosed with an ear infection yesterday just days after getting over a cold. I can't really complain though, because she is 27 months and this is her first ear infection. I will be glad when the medicine starts to take effect and I can get a good nights sleep for the first time in over a week.

Enjoying nature & Blessings from friends!

Today we went on a walk through the woods. Blessing picked up sticks until she couldn't carry anymore. Then she would see another stick and drop some of her sticks trying to pick up another one. At that time, she would contemplate on which stick she really wanted to carry and finally choose one and carry it until she repeated the process. We walked through the fields to see Daddy at the shop. Then we walked back again. Grandma usually gets really tired, but she went with us the whole way and did really well.

Then such a blessing happened to me. A friend I met in MOMS Bible study last week, Jade, just out of the blue brought our family some cupcakes. Such a wonderful gesture of love and caring. Her act of kindness meant so much to me. Thanks Jade! You are an amazing woman of God!
